This visualization led to the discovery (and subsequent correction) of bad data in the museum’s collections system, namely in the tallest piece, which is actually not tall at all. Video after the jump.
Animating through 1,438 Guggenheim Collection API Images yields the answer.
The flattest work (by aspect ratio of image) is James Rosenquist’s The Swimmer in the Econo-mist (painting 1), while the skinniest is Morris Louis’ #48.
